This works well on typical Butane Cans you can buy locally for Butane Cook Stoves, easily installs and lights with a pull on the trigger. If valve is open when installing onto Butane Cylinder it will flow Butane until disconnected or turned off, the trigger does not control the Butane like similar Propane Torches, if installing onto a Butane Canister and the valve is open, it can be startling, so turn off the valve before installing is my advice, then open and use the trigger to light. When buying Butane Canisters try Asian Stores, the ones I go to sell them for very reasonable prices around $3 per canister or buy in packages of 6 for bigger savings.
