  As a fan of feudal Japanese history, this is one of my favourite movies.
  It has it all: action, intrigue, romance (albeit subtle), great storyline, wonderful performances by first-rate actors, many on-location scenes, much historical referencing, great action sequences throughout, and incredible music throughout. It quickly pulls you into the story and never lets you out! I have watched it many times. This purchase (a DVD + Blu-ray combo) is to back up my original (DVD-only) copy of the movie.
