The soft silicone material won't damage your headset and is very pleasing to look at. The 3M sticky pad seems to work very well. I used the provided wipes and firmly pressed it onto the surface. After 24 hours it was ready to use and has not shown any sign of weakening. My only complaint is that my headset is quite wide and I find that I have to place it at the very edge to avoid the earcups hitting the wall.
