The mat system comes with everything you need and does roll up the completed puzzle. The issue is with the choice of material for the mat. They went with a felt like material. Unfortunately that was a very bad choice as it is impossible to slide puzzle pieces or sections around, the puzzle pieces dig into the felt and will fall apart before they will move. This renders the whole system totally useless
