I really like that there aren't any sharp edges on the can or the lid after it's been opened, but it's a little tricky to use. It's hard to know if you're using it properly and punctured the can. The instructions are minimal - just a few photos. The knob is stiff, which could be because I'm still used to having to really squeeze and use a lot of pressure winding my old can opener. Once completing a full turn, the can was, for the most part, unsealed. I believe that the more I use it, the easier it'll get, it just takes some practice, but just in case, I've held onto my old can opener as a backup. I enjoy that it doesn't take up a lot of space in my drawer, or the handle get caught on other utensils or door when I take it out because it's one piece with the crank.
