  I have always used cornstarch as a thickener and decided to give Clearjel a try......WELL let me say this I will never use anything different again. Hoosier Hill Farm brand has won me over. Unlike regular types of thickeners this one gives you pie filling a very silky smooth texture, no lumps or gluey bits. Best of all my pies were in the fridge and on day 4 they tasted just as fresh as the first day. I however gave the rating a three star rating because of the price. Absolutely crazy price and now I am hooked.
