  I got tired of using tape or 3d printing a 5v isolator and didn't want to rip apart a usb cable.
  
  Tested with a USB power meter connected to a phone and was unable to charge it, the power meter showed 0A. This tells you there is nothing suspicious about the adapter even though you can clearly see the PCB.
