This device promises charging via USB-C, and it has that kind of plug. However, the people who designed it did not actually implement USB-C correctly. It comes bundled with a USB-C / USB-A adapter, and you have to plug it in to a USB-A plug to get it to charge. So, you know those 50 USB-C power adapters you have now, for your laptop, phone, tablet, whatever? *NONE OF THEM WILL WORK* to charge this device. Do you still have your old USB-A power adapter for your cell phone from 5 years ago? If not, you'd better order one.
The whole point of USB-C is to have a universal plug that charges all things. This has the right connector, but won't work with it; it's the electrical equivalent of making the gas fitting on your car the shape of a diesel pump, but it actually runs on gasoline. Why? Just, why?!??!
