The largest threaded rod that would fit explosively broke twice while pulling the first bushing. I then borrowed a set from a local parts store (PartSource), and used it to finish pulling the old and installing the new bushings on both sides rather easily. Although the set is described as being made from high-carbon steel, it clearly isn't strong enough for this application. Also, none of the receiving cups included in this set were large enough for the trailing arm bushing of the Grand Caravan I was working on, so I had to use a cup from another set. The same was true for the set I borrowed from the local parts store.
