I decided to upgrade to this router to use with this camera. I鈥檓 very glad I did. reading the reviews that eufy HomeKit camera notifications were inconsistent.
HomeKit is notification IS spotty, But if you set your router to 2.4 GHz and not 5G the notifications come through on the Eufy app 鈥渁way mode鈥 consistently & instantaneously, not HomeKit unfortunately
In view of the recent MGM hotel hack I can鈥檛 insist more that people start travelling with these room cameras and routers and learn how to protect your hotel rooms with a travel security camera and devices on VPN.
This router has a better option for open VPN and Nord vpn has a persistent token function for these brand of routers.
So using this to travel, without the persistent token function. you would have to download and reload the VPN into the router every time you vacated a room or powered off the router. If you configure it with a persistent vpn token before you leave from home, no matter where your are in the world your router and devices will always be pointing through your VPN.
