The long-awaited explosive climax to the first arc of the #1 New York Times bestselling Stormlight Archive—the iconic epic fantasy masterpiece that has sold more than 10 million copies, from acclaimed bestselling author Brandon Sanderson.
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray.
Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade. He is accompanied by Kaladin, who faces a new battle helping Szeth fight his own demons . . . and who must do the same for the insane Herald of the Almighty, Ishar.
At the same time, Shallan, Renarin, and Rlain work to unravel the mystery behind the Unmade Ba-Ado-Mishram and her involvement in the enslavement of the singer race and in the ancient Knights Radiant killing their spren. And Dalinar and Navani seek an edge against Odium’s champion that can be found only in the Spiritual Realm, where memory and possibility combine in chaos. The fate of the entire Cosmere hangs in the balance.

The book is worth buying though! A fantastic series.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 20, 2024Verified PurchaseTypical Sanderson book - done too soon.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 19, 2025Verified PurchaseFinally, Sanderson shows us the true and uplifting power in building a story about people struggling with illness. This is the best written plot in all 5 SA novels, paying off arcs set up in the first books, closing some, changing others, and with a riveting, genius conclusion that sets up Jasnah's coming arc, as well as setting the stage for the next part of the SA. It's rather easier to start a tale than to end it. Hats off to the author.
Also, this more muted Sanderlanche was much much easier to digest, when I was fearing that it would be simply be more of the intensity from Oathbringer and Rhythm of War.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 18, 2025Verified PurchaseSo much covered in this store and so many more questions I wonder if another series is planned now …
- Reviewed in Canada on June 12, 2025Verified PurchaseGreat read!
- Reviewed in Canada on February 9, 2025Verified PurchaseDidn't hook me like Way of Kings or move me like Words of Radience or Oathbringer, yet still a 5/5 fantasy book in my eyes.
My criticisms are purely based on being a fan of certain characters and questioning certain plotlines but in the end it was a fantastic read and I will always recommend this series (and any other Cosmere books) to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Final de una Era

1.0 out of 5 stars Clean Epic Fantasy Sold and LGBTQ+ Romance for Politics Delivered
Verified PurchaseThis was a huge disappointment. I thought I was buying another clean epic fantasy but I found this was just another LGBTQ+ Romance for politics. I guess Brandon forgot his audience and the reason his books were so universally loved. Another book like this and I will need to say goodbye to the trust I had for one of my favorite authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps the best of the series?
Verified PurchaseBrandon Sanderson has done it again and wrapped up the series with what in my opinion is the second best of all his works. The book is a good quality and despite the considerable size holds up well. Thr hardback covering is slightly less durable and betime I finished the work it has worn away at the edges but nothing the dust cover wont hide on the shelf. Im glad for the shorter intervals in this book compared to the prior series, it stops the feeling of being dragged from th3 action and in this book there is a lot.
