A: Unfortunately, it is not a Wi-Fi enabled baby monitor, and cannot be connected with the eufy Baby app.

Q: Can the camera detect motion?

A: No it cannot detect motion, but it can detect crying and send an alert.

Q: Why isn’t my monitor connecting to the camera?

A: Be sure to update the monitor and camera to the same firmware version in order for the devices to connect.

    I purchased this baby monitor at the recommendation of some friends. We had a monitor that ran off WiFi, and although the phone app was cool, the signal sucked, it was glitchy, and there was a delay in real-time and what the video was showing. So we switched to this monitor and have not looked back.

    Features I love:
    -strong signal
    -great sound quality
    -the alarm when baby is crying and you can set the sound threshold
    -night vision
    -long battery life
    -microphone to talk to baby from the handheld
    -ability to zoom and move the camera from the handheld
    -wall mount

    Only con is it came out of the box needing to be updated. I haven’t done that yet and I’m not entirely sure how to do that. I get a message every so often saying the firmware needs to be updated, but I have just been dismissing the message and I don’t seem to have issues so far.

    Other than that, I would highly recommend this monitor.

    We bought a new monitor to replace our 1st Gen that was dropped and the screen wouldn't come on, and there was long standing battery life issues anyway. I have a few issues with our replacement:

    The volume suddenly turns down as if my kid got up and turned down the knob on the sound machine. And sometimes there is a burst in volume that startles the begeebus out of me. Also, going from volume bar 4 to 5 is such a significant difference, about twice as loud. These sound issues were not a concern with our older monitor.

    Also, the monitor picks up the sound frequencies from the sound machines that sound like humming, or singing, or some other repetitive, unpleasant sound. I hear it picked up from both sound machines (two cameras in two different rooms) and they're different machines. The older monitor did not have this issue either.

    And in general, I have to turn the volume up louder overnight (bar 2 was perfect before, now it must be at a 3) in order to hear my children if they wake because of the inconsistent volume issues and the issue with picking up some strange sound frequency that is prevalent in the monitor. Background sound seems louder then my children.

    Additionally, I have to press the power button (which turns on the screen) sometimes multiple times for a response. Same goes for the middle button, used as the "select"/screen flip button.

    Last but not least, the screen picks up a lot of green tones when the bedrooms' lights are on in the camera. Our eufy monitor prior to the replacement did not.

    In all, I feel like I need another replacement. I'm dissatisfied with how things are working on this monitor. I know they can be smoother because they were cleaner and smoother prior to replacing my broken one.

    I recommend this camera to all new moms! They have incredible range with no interruptions. I’ve walked all over our acre property, and up and down the street and I’ve still been able to check on my sleeping babies. The picture quality is great during the day and at night (we don’t use night lights). The thermometer on the camera is a little wonky sometimes, but we have the camera on the ceiling so I’m sure that’s why it’s off sometimes. Super easy to setup and use.

    I bought this monitor after doing my research on the best monitors and was confident that is the one for my needs . I tried it and to the signal range was weak and felt disappointed .. I reported this issue to the supplier and they immediately without hesitation sent me a new one .. the new monitor was great , the signal range , the Pic quality all was as expected. not sure if the first one was faulty , but any how problem solved.

    Great little camera + monitor setup. We didn't feel comfortable using wifi and just wanted the ease/convenience of a direct link. This delivers. Connection is instantaneous and it's easy to travel with.

    Battery life on the monitor is pretty good but could be better. We charge it every night but also leave the screen on a lot during the day. Sometimes it's out of battery ~8pm. No big deal though. If you really cared to solve it you could easily tape a cheap external USB battery to the back.
