These are a slight improvement over v1, which was already pretty good. The buttons don��t all sound exactly the same, but that��s more to do with the abxy buttons being different sizes and one of the buttons being on an entirely different circuit board.

Once you get your controller apart, this kit is pretty easy to put in. Just MAKE SURE you actually press the adhesive down all the way especially around the switches. I had one button not working because I failed to do so.

I have the v1 kit on another controller and have never had a single issue with it.

The install process was easy, just needed to look up a YouTube tutorial. After the fact? I like the clicky buttons. However, each of the buttons do not feel even in their response. The X, A, and B buttons have an excellent click, but the Y button feels slightly mushy. I'm not exactly sure if this is due to how I installed it in the first place, but be warned: if this happens, it makes a far bigger difference than you'd expect. Also I know that this isn't really relevant for the kit's performance itself, but be warned: if you're using aftermarket buttons, they MUST have an X-shaped indent in them to match the factory buttons' indents or else they will not fit the kit.

I'd recommend for a fun project, but your mileage may vary.

I got these clicky replacement buttons for my xbox series controller because I haven't used it in months and I want to use it again. I prefere the stock controller feel and quality but a few months ago a got a controller that has clicky buttons and hall effect sticks, and it is way more satisfying to use the clicky controller over my series controller. So this kit has allowed me to turn my abxy buttons on my series controller into clicky buttons. This is a great step in order for my series controller to compete with my clicky controller. Yes this is only the abxy buttons, but it is still better than none. Having the abxy buttons being clicky is supper nice and hard to actually convey how nice it is over the old mushy buttons. Once you feel a controller with clicky buttons, it is hard to go back, and this is why my series controller has just been sitting there for months. Now that the abxy buttons are clicky, I am more apt to use the controller again. But ultimately, I want to turn all the buttons clicky, like the bumpers and triggers. Overall, a really nice kit that wasn't too hard to install, especially since I've already modded the sticks (added the eXtremeRate Interchangeable Thumbsticks) on this controller so I was familiar with taking it apart. The hardest part was sticking the conductive stickers onto the back of the pcb's. Would recommend!

I got this for a slightly older Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5 Master Chief edition controller & am very happy with the end result.
The biggest problem with the Xbox One controller are the squishy buttons in my opinion - I just always felt like they would not bounce back as quickly as the 360 or playstation controllers. But this changes that with surprising good effect.
The buttons are now nice and clicky + quick responding - kind of like how it should have come from Microsoft.
The only thing to mention, is that the installation can be a bit daunting if you are not comfortable with tinkering in small devices. Since I already had the tools & wanted to upgrade this aging controller, it was no problem for me.

I think that if you want to keep a older controller going or just want to upgrade a controller, you really need to get this for it!
