***Updated Version***

  • When the charger is in Trickle mode, it will monitor the voltage of battery even though the screen is showing OFF, once the voltage drop under 12.5 Volts, the charger will automatically turn back on and charge it to full and maintain the voltage as normal.
  • Force 12V mode: If the charger accidentally recognizes the 12V battery as a 6V battery (for example, the power of 12V battery is less than 6 Volts), you can press and hold the Mode button for 5 seconds, and the charger will be forced to switch to the 12V charging mode.

Make Sure You Read the Plug Requirement!
I actually bought this for my husband who is a mechanic because I thought it would be something he could use when he needs to charge a battery out in the wild. Turns out that was my mistake for not reading closely enough. This charger does need to be plugged into a wall outlet to work, so it is not something you can just bring anywhere and power up a dead battery on the spot. Lesson learned on my part! lol Even with that little misunderstanding, it has still worked out well for him. He has been using it in the garage for charging and maintaining batteries and it does the job just fine. The screen is easy to read and shows the charging information clearly, which is helpful when you want to know what is going on with the battery. It also seems pretty straightforward to use. Connect the clips, plug it in and it gets to work. I also like that it can be used for different types of batteries like cars, motorcycles and lawn equipment. That makes it useful to keep around instead of having a different charger for everything. Overall it works well and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Just make sure you know it needs a wall outlet first so you do not make the same mistake I did. lol

    Good little all round chargers, maintainers. FOR LEAD ACID BATTERIES-regular, agm, sla, spiral. NOT FOR ANY LITHIUM BATTERIES. Got the 3 pack on sale! Using on atvs during outside off-season. Was using small solar panels for years, but with the price of the 3 pack, it was time to change. These are 6 or 12 volt, automaticly sensing, and pack a punch giving you charging, maintaining, AND the battery repair function. They can be left plugged in indefinitely, and in maintenance mode, will come on + turn off as required by your battery's requirements. Has ring connectors and alligator clips. 1.75 amps is fine for these smaller batteries. Very simple to use with just a mode button to cycle through the charge, repair or maintenance functions. The display is large, bright, clear with battery status, input voltage + input amps. Can't be beat for the sale price. Great addition to my various battery chargers

    These came from the Vine program a little too late for me - I had just bought a trickle charger from Canadian Tire.
    Anyhow, I did give this one a go on my triumph Tiger battery I had taken out back in November.
    Did exactly what I thought a trickle charger would do: really dummy proof operation because it will detect 6 or 12 volt by itself. Just hooked up the alligator clips onto the ports and immediately it showed how much charge was still in the battery (obviously not dead because it was a good battery taken out of the bike but it was still around 80 something percent) and then safely charges it back up to 100%. It'll turn off when it's done and if you keep it plugged in and make sure of course the battery pack itself is plugged in or has power, it will continually turn on and off keeping it at its top charge.
    If you don't need three, you're not saving a ton by getting a three pack instead of a single. This is 60 bucks for three but if you only need one there's no problem with spending 23 or $24 for just a single. However it is a good price if you actually do want the three Chargers and you have a couple quads or motorcycles or even a boat or something.
    Very straightforward and seem to do the job that you want it to do.
