I've collected coins many years ago when I was a kid and there was no easy way to identify whether some of them were silver or not. Given the price of silver these days it becomes more and more important. I thought this tool will give me the easy method of identifying coins. It did not.
What you see in the product photo is what you get. A magnet, a loupe, a metal "pincer" and a tiny wooden hammer along with a pouch, a lanyard and a few plastic caps. That's it. I know the magnet will tell me whether the coin contains iron, but I have no idea how to use other items. Maybe for someone who does this for living it will be straightforward but for me it was completely unclear.
Given that there are no instructions or a link to a video, and the items seem like a set of separate pieces rather than a kit where every item serves a purpose, it feels like someone got a bunch of dollar store items together to give them new meaning. A well-written manual is a low-effort improvement and it would have changed it dramatically, but as it is now it doesn't seem to work, at least for an amateur like myself.
