OMG! I was pleasantly surprised with how sturdy the bowl was. I was honestly expecting a bowl half as thin since the picture was small. The mesh strainer included has a double layer so only fine grains make it through. It is a really good strainer as well. I’m not a matcha expert so can’t tell you the quality of the bamboo tools included, I can just tell you that they work and the mixing tool (I know it has a name just don’t know what it is), mixes better than my electric milk frother. Even the quality of the tea mat is solid. It was thicker and more absorbent than I thought when I went to hand wash it and it kept soaking up the water. I wanted this matcha tea set because unlike most sets, it includes everything but the matcha. The only downside is that the pink colors don’t match. The tea towel is more of a peach pink, the bowl a rosy pink, and the rest bar a pale pink, so they clash. I’d go with the green set. The set I have would look gorgeous if not for the mismatched pink. And I’d definitely gift the green set this Christmas since I want my parents to be healthier and matcha offers so many health benefits. The only thing to be aware of (aside from the color), is that the strainer works really well and is meant for real matcha not the blends like I have with strawberry and sugar mixed in. What was amazing was how it strained all the matcha and I was left with big sugar grains in the strainer. I use oat milk so I can blend the matcha straight in, without having to use hot water first. This tea set works wonderfully, you won’t be disappointed about anything if you just get it in green.
