First impressions: Overall, the build quality of the camera unit appears very decent. The overall form factor is small and cylindrical, making it unobtrusive. The casing is made of hard plastic and feels well put together. The forward camera has a and captures the activity in front of you very well. The inside camera has a 160-degree wide-angle and, in conjunction with the 165-degree wide-angle rear camera, you can capture a good deal of the interior vehicle cabin as well as the outside rear/side views. The LED display screen is quite small but functional, good enough for choosing your settings and seeing the simultaneous three video channels. The settings menu is straightforward and easy to set up. The included power cable has a nice thick and durable sheathing and is of generous length to route permanently in a large cabin vehicle like a truck. The kit uses a detachable mounting shoe that adheres to the windshield with double-sided adhesive tape, and it holds to the windshield like an Alabama tick onto a hound dog. The cam is easily and quickly detached from its mount.
The cameras store information on a 1TB micro SD memory card (not included), and the unit records in a continuous loop when the memory is full. Events can be easily locked to prevent recording over. The unit also has a G-force sensor built in, so in the case of a collision, the records/information are locked for potential evidence. This dash camera has WiFi capability so you can easily view, download, and share videos on your cell phone. The videos display at a far better quality on your cellphone than on the dash cams display. Overall, the camera performs well, and the captured audio and video are extremely good. The recorded audio is clear, and the video quality is fluid and crisp without ghosting, pixilation, or interference. It is easy to see license plates day or night. This system buys you peace of mind when you are driving or even when you are parked!
