Bioavailable form*
Magnesium glycinate is a bioavailable and stable form consisting of magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine. This chelated form protects the magnesium from binding with other substances in the digestive tract, which could reduce its absorption. Glycine also improves magnesium uptake by utilizing the natural absorption channels of amino acids in the small intestines.*
Meaningful dose*
To ensure the dose of magnesium is optimal for health, we recommend taking 2 capsules per day, delivering a dose of 380mg elemental magnesium derived from 1300mg bulk magnesium. This provides 90% Daily Value per serving. The tub provides a 90-day supply when taking the recommended 2 capsules a day. Split dosing magnesium improves uptake; for optimal absorption and all-day coverage, we recommend splitting the daily dose between morning and evening.*
Gentle on the gut*
As magnesium glycinate is chelated, it does not typically have a laxative effect or cause digestive upset, because of the way it is bonded to the amino acid glycine.
