Got this because my OEM head was filthy and the roll was practically black from all the usage.
The major benefit is the fact that the roller isn't entirely material which makes it easier to clean and will likely stay clean longer compared to the OEM one.
Even though its not an official Dyson head, it fits perfectly and the connection making the inner part spin works perfectly. I used it to pick up dust, crumbs and cat fur and it did a great job.
I do find that the pivoting of the head with the "uniball" system in the back isn't as sharp as pivoting with the OEM head but it still works great and I don't need it to handle like a race card either.
