I love the idea of a foldable tower; anything to save space. However, this one..... is not ideal in how it works. First off, when unfolding it the wood platform that slides in has unfinished edges, and the side panels fold inward. What this ends up meaning is that unless the sides are perfectly expanded when slotting in the platform, the corners of the platform have a habit of catching on the sides unless they are both perfectly and fully extended, causing damage to the unfinished edges of the platform. In addition, the feet end up making the tower almost just as bulky as a typical tower, even when folded. Now granted, you can just not attach the feet and call it a day, but for a tower whose whole gimmick is being able to fold, not making the feet also fold to minimize space taken up seems like a bit of an oversight. Now these are both relatively minor nitpicks, but the fact is at $120 I expect a very well finished product, both literally and design wise. And while both of these complaints are minor, they are enough for me to deduct a star. Now, if you're exceptionally careful and are willing to use the tower without the feet, it's an excellent tower. However, compared to other towers I've had which match or are below this, the enhanced features and swappable panels are not enough to make up for the price increase and lack if fit and finish to make this a 5 star item.

There are quite a few pros and cons to this climbing tower:

Pros:
- It comes with the main scaffolding already put together, which saves a lot of time and fiddling;
- It can easily be folded which saves a lot of space when not in use and there are a special set of screws that fasten it together when it is closed (you have to undo those when it first arrives);
- It has the capacity to be fully enclosed, so a child is both very secure and can't go anywhere unless they climb over the top (don't discount that possibility, especially with all the rungs and holes that provide toe holds);
- It has lots of gadgets for a toddler to play with, thus helping to keep them occupied when you're busy in the kitchen (or elsewhere). They are accessible from both inside and outside of the tower unlike others and the large gaps in the rest of the tower allow a child to feel more a part of things than entirely closed off, especially when all sides are in place;
- the steps are removable and light, which means they can be used around the house by a toddler. They may be the most useful part of this tower;
- once everything is in place, it feels sturdy and safe. The stabilisers help keep it upright when it is closed;
- it has three levels and is adjustable depending on a child's height, so it 'grows' with a child.

Cons:
- Although it can be folded flat, the main shelf needs to be removed and to do that, one of the sides needs to be removed first, one also has to remove the steps, so it is a rather complex procedure, unlike others on the market;
- the main board on which a toddler stands feels a little thin, so I'm not sure just how much weight it could bear or over what period of time;
- keeping the tower open relies entirely on that one shelf. If it is removed, the whole thing starts to close which can easily catch a toddler unaware. I would have preferred there to be a latch of some kind to help keep it open;
- it is a little expensive in spite of all its features.

Unfortunately, this would not be my first or even my second choice as a climbing tower. There are cheaper options on the market that are sturdier and more fun. The only points I consider as particularly favourable are the fact that it can fully and securely enclose a child within its walls and the steps can be used elsewhere.
