- Reviewed in Canada on April 15, 2025Verified PurchaseThis dual-pot crockpot has completely transformed meal prep in my kitchen! Being able to cook two dishes at once, whether it's a main and a side or two different flavors for picky eaters, has been a total game-changer. The pots heat evenly, cleanup is a breeze, and the compact design doesn't take up too much counter space. Whether I'm hosting or just making dinner more efficient, this slow cooker is a must-have for anyone who loves convenience without sacrificing quality!
- Reviewed in Canada on May 26, 2025I was intrigued by the adaptability of the MultiMeal system, but I expected that it will be a bit of a novelty that will find a spot in one of our kitchen cabinets and stay there forgotten after a few months. I was totally wrong.
The Crock-Pot MultiMeal is now our most used kitchen appliance. It's not only our favourite, but our university age son discovered the ease of using it and now is requesting one for when the semester starts!
The main feature of this Crock-Pot is its versatility. It's not just a slow cooker - it's just as perfectly capable of browning meats and stir frying veggies and cooking rice, as it is of slow cooking a hearty soup. For a single person or even for a small family it can pretty much take care of the majority of cooking tasks. Perfect for a small appartment!
For cooking larger meals we use the big 8 quart pot - perfect for feeding the whole family. When we want to just make some side dishes, then the two smaller pots are fantastic, allowing us to prepare two different dishes at once. I really love the ability to sync the timers on the device, so both sides finish cooking at the same time!
This is a slow cooker that seemingly offers endless usage options. Highly recommended!
- Reviewed in Canada on April 6, 2025Verified PurchaseWhile I enjoy the convenience of the two separate pots, something to be aware of is that they are ceramic-coated, NOT stoneware or solid ceramic. Ceramic-coated cookware (which I discovered after copious research) retains the smell of cooking. I have used this pot once only. The side I cooked the rice in is fine, the other in which I cooked a chicken stew, isn't. It has been washed by hand, stuck in the dishwasher, it still retains the smell of cooking. If stored with the lid on, it isn't dreadful, but as soon as the lid is removed to use again, it's quite pungent. From everything I have read, ceramic coating is porous and absorbs odours, also ceramic-coated cookware should not be used for searing (one of the settings I used) as higher temperatures damage the coating and make them more odour-retentive. I have a sensitive nose and find the smell really disturbing. Returning.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 13, 2025Ah, the Crock-Pot MultiMeal Multicooker. One might be forgiven for thinking it a mere Muggle contraption, yet upon closer inspection, one discovers a certain enchantment woven into its very design, a subtle magic that simplifies the often tedious art of culinary alchemy.
Firstly, the craftsmanship is undeniably sturdy, a reassuring weight that speaks of enduring quality, unlike some flimsy devices that seem destined for the rubbish bin after a mere flick of a switch. Its appearance, too, possesses a certain understated charm, fitting comfortably amidst the paraphernalia of a well-used kitchen, neither ostentatious nor entirely forgettable. It heats with a commendable swiftness, a veritable burst of contained energy, quite unlike the languid simmer of more traditional slow cookers, and possesses a surprising heat when coaxed, capable of a vigorous sauté – a boon for those who favour a touch of Maillard reaction in their concoctions.
But the true marvel, the veritable revelio of its potential, lies in its bifurcated nature. Two gleaming cauldrons, nestled side-by-side, each a realm unto itself, governed by its own independent incantations of temperature. Imagine, if you will, the simultaneous conjuring of a hearty stew in one, whilst delicate steamed vegetables bloom to verdant perfection in the other. The possibilities, one muses, are as boundless as a house-elf’s loyalty. Soup and fowl? Pasta and a slow-cooked joint of beef? The MultiMeal embraces these pairings with an almost whimsical ease. And for those grand feasts, those gatherings where laughter and stories mingle with the aroma of good food, there is a larger vessel, an eight-quart pot of considerable capacity, ready to brew forth quantities sufficient for even the hungriest of Quidditch teams. Moreover, these twin chambers possess the admirable ability to retain warmth, a veritable charm against the chill of cooling dishes at convivial gatherings.
The tiresome chore of cleansing, too, has been met with a touch of ingenuity. The ceramic surfaces yield with surprising grace to a damp cloth, and though the Muggle contraption of the “dishwasher” is deemed acceptable for the removable parts, one senses that a gentle hand-washing would best preserve the integrity of their enchanted coating over the long years.
In summation, the Crock-Pot MultiMeal Multicooker is more than a mere kitchen implement; it is a versatile ally in the daily magic of meal preparation. For families both large and small, for solitary sorcerers and gregarious gatherings, its dual nature offers a flexibility that sparks the culinary imagination. It is a testament to the notion that even in the most mundane of Muggle inventions, a touch of genuine usefulness, a whisper of clever design, can indeed feel rather like magic.
