This blender is very large in person! The product page does have very detailed measurements, but I was caught off guard at how much more robust this is compared to a regular blender. Just something to consider if you are tight on counter space. The shield is a very welcome feature, and means the blender is actually quieter than our previous one. There are a lot of ways to customize and control time, strength, etc and very detailed instructions on how to do so.
This blender most certainly packs a punch. I am used to more conventional "home-tier" blenders so this commercial grade product has blown me away so far. We recently made some berry and avocado smoothies to welcome the summer and... wow! Our regular blender usually gives the recipe we use a bit of a "slushy like" texture and sometimes ends up with a few larger ice chunks. Not the case with this CRANDDI blender: given about the same time, it gave us an impressively smooth and ice-free set of smoothies for 4 people.
I do wish there was a way to lock the jar of the blender into place during use. The jar just sits on top of the blender and I have seen it "jump" a few times with harder starts (e.g. ice or frozen fruits). I probably wouldn't run it without the cover for this reason.
