I was pleasantly surprised when I received this ATX3.1 power supply and discovered that while it is labeled as GOLD, it is actually PLATINUM and confirmed it with the Cybenetics website that does the certification/testing of PSUs. It has a knob to manually control the fan speed if you need it (wonderful option and very nice feeling knob) but the fan doesn't come on at all so far, even at full load. This is with an Intel 265K and 5070ti. Maybe with higher powered GPUs it might, but the efficiency is so good that it's barely warm so you should be good to go no matter what CPU or GPU you have - you won't hear it at all. This is a great improvement over the previous RM1000x which wouldn't hold up as well against similarly priced PSUs. I've been using a lot of Corsair parts lately.
