If you’ve had to change a faucet, you know it can be quick, or hazardous… The last one I changed was not a walk in the wood and this is why I got this Basin Wrench. Despite it is mostly plastic made, it is solid. It definitely facilitates access to hard to reach space and provide a good grip to screw/unscrew this faucet that needs to be changed/fixed. Currently selling under $17 minus 30% coupon ($5.05 off).

    The tool is supposed to make changing your kitchen faucet easier. The tool and attachments did not fit the nut on my Moen (very common name brand) faucet. I believe if you buy the name brand version of this product (Rigid brand) it would almost certainly fit the nuts on name brand faucets. The tool is supposed to wrap around the water supply line and keep it from getting in the way while you tighten the nut. If you have more than one water supply line (I think most modern faucets have 3 to 4 different lines coming/going from them) the tool does not work. It it bulky, so it can't maneuver around the other supply lines. If your sink/faucet has more than one water line going to it, do not buy this product.

    I have used a few different versions of these, and as others have pointed out, if it fits, it makes the job so much easier! Even if you are not sure if your nut is 1/2", it's almost worth taking a chance with the $15 purchase price because it will make the job so much faster.

    Hopefully somebody will come out with an adapter kit that will cover a lot of different metric and imperial plumbing sizes.
