Commitment to Freeze-Dried Natto Beans

dry natto

No food additives, colorants, or preservatives. Perfect for vegans as it contains no animal derivatives. If eaten as is, like nuts, it is easy to eat even for people who don't like the smell of natto.

Natto, a traditional Japanese fermented food, is packed with nutrients and delicious taste!

natto manufacturing

Fermentation of soybeans with Bacillus natto produces nutrients not found in soybeans, such as vitamin K2 and natto kinase.

This dry natto is freeze-dried at -30℃. By no heating at all after fermentation, the various nutrients in natto are not lost.

Same taste with regular natto

Same taste with regular natto
This freeze-dried natto is intended to be rehydrated and enjoyed as traditional natto. Please note it's not to be eaten as a snack in its dried form. The package contains 70 grams of dried natto. The package instructs to rehydrate 10 grams for 3-4 hours before consuming, and this product is equal to about seven servings. Once rehydrated, the natto closely resembles regular natto in appearance, with the aroma and stickiness of typical natto beans. However, I feel 10 grams of dried natto contains less than a standard natto pack and is smaller than my regular portion. Despite this, the product offers authentic natto with a long shelf life and easy storage. It's especially recommended for those who want to bring natto for traveling or who cannot access frozen/refrigerated natto.

met expectations. may not buy again since it's pretty expensive for the size of the packet.

This is a pretty good alternative to buying the natto in the packages from the Asian markets however it doesn't get as sticky and the taste is a little less strong.

It is really an option when you cannot source fresh natto. If water is added and several hours pass, it magically changes to edible natto. I can't complain except insane price. I finally found a Korean supermarket where they sell fresh or frozen natto, I do not plan to order thus product any longer unless I move to other places. If there is no option to source natto but if you crave for natto, this product is the right choice.

I should’ve read the fine print on how much product is actually in the bag. This is very very expensive for very little product, and I wanted to like this easy method so badly!

I tried both dry and soaked. When soaked for 3-4 hours in water, it took on a more traditional texture, but the sticky part became more bubbly and watery. Without the sauce that usually comes with a packaged natto, the flavor felt a little less rich and the water seemed to dilute it somewhat. But the taste was still delicious. That said, I much preferred eating them dry. The dry natto is full of flavor and the beans have a pleasant crunch. When you eat them with the fine powder included, it adds the sticky texture too. And the dry version is much more convenient and becomes an easy and healthy snack.

    Likes:
    - No additives, artificial colors, or preservatives, and non-GMO.
    - The dry version is convenient, full of flavor, and offers a pleasant crunch.
    - Nutrient rich.
    - Made in Japan.

    Dislikes:
    - You can eat them soaked too, but it takes a bit of time and was not as flavorful as its dry form.
