About this item
- Note: The meross motion and presence sensor is wired and requires continuous power. No hub is needed for HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, or the Meross app. However, a hub is required for Matter compatibility
- Radar+PIR+Light 3 in 1 sensor: Combine with PIR and millimeter wave radar, meross motion and presence sensor offering significant advantages over single-detection sensors. This advanced technology allows the sensor to accurately detect changes within a space, detecting not only motion but also user presence (even without any motion). Enhanced with a built-in light sensor, it offers greater possibilities for lighting automation
- Multi-Ecosystem and Local Support: Meross motion and presence sensor integrates seamlessly with multiple platforms through the Matter framework, including Meross, HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home. This integration provides enhanced stability, lower latency, better privacy, and offline control compared to traditional methods
- Wide Viewing Angle & Detection Range : The motion detector features an adjustable base that pivots 180° and rotates 360°, along with integrated cable management for easy setup. It detects motion up to 12 meters, with effective presence detection up to 6 meters
- Pet-Proof Triggering: A pet-proof shield is included to prevent pets or robot vacuum from accidentally triggering the sensor
- Reliable and Privacy-Conscious: By implementing millimeter-wave radar technology to detect motion, including subtle movements, without generating "ghosting" effects. Unlike cameras, it doesn’t record images or collect data about your indoor environment, ensuring robust privacy protection
- Home Automation: Keeping the lights on while reading but turning them off during the day; running the air conditioner while you sleep but turning it off when you leave the bedroom; activating the exhaust fan if you’re in the bathroom for over five minutes; turning on the ceiling light in the living room and the floor lamp by the sofa as you move around—all with a single device

- Reviewed in Canada on June 8, 2025Verified PurchaseSo here's my completely honest review. After some frustration trying to set it up in my meross app, I eventually tried a different phone. The original I was trying to set it up with was using a beta version of Android 16, which I can only assume was my issue. After using another phone running android 15, the install was painless. I wish I would've tried that days ago.
I set it up in my laundry room, since everyone in my house seems to think that light will turn off on its own, and it's been working great now for two days. There's about a 2 second pause between walking into the room and the light turning on, which I'm assuming it's the time it takes for it to send the signal to the smart switch to turn the lights on. It's not a huge deal though, since my major issue was getting the lights to turn off. I set it to 15 seconds, and without fail, it seems to know when I'm in there, even if I'm not moving. But 15 seconds after leaving, the light turns off. Now I can leave the room holding the laundry basket and not have to fumble with the light switch anymore. I can trust the smart sensor to do it for me. I didn't add the pet cover to the sensor yet even though we've got a large dog, but it's always an option if I notice it being triggered by him.
Now I'm considering another one for the garage lights, since that's another place the lights get left on all the time. So basically I can think of plenty of reasons for needing this, and I'm sure I'm already going to order at least one more.
Quality- typical Meross quality, which is excellent. Everything is always well made and doesn't feel cheap. I've had some of their wall switches since 2018 without any issues, so I expect this will be the same excellent quality.
There's lots of adjustments you can make with this for sensitivity and detection so you can tailor it to the space you need. I honestly wasn't expecting that, but it's great to be able to configure it so it's not accidentally triggered. It even has room learning as well.
Thank you Meross, for continuing to be innovative. You continue to design new products to solve issues and make our lives easier.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 13, 2025Verified PurchaseIt's not just a motion sensor, it's a presence sensor!
It's only been a few days, but the MS600 is working exactly as I need it. I have a lot of smart products in the home (many of them from Meross, and everything is working together nicely. So far, so good: no false positives, no missed notifications, maintains connection. Fairly accurate, not overly sensitive.
You need to download a Meross app (which is fine), all of my devices on my Google Home, but really all of my automations are done through Samsung SmartThings.
Would buy again (may get more), and do recommend.
Now, if they can integrate a temperature and humidity sensor all into one device, that would be AMAZING!

- Reviewed in Canada on April 3, 2025Verified PurchaseI like it! One of the only downsides to this device though is the little snap-on pet cover/blocker shield. It doesn't really snap on. It uses double-sided tape which has let go more than once. As far as motion detection goes and present sensors and smart things, it doesn't necessarily see it as a presence sensor. It sees as a motion sensor so some of the automations in the SmartThings app don't really work well, like it'll just randomly turn the light off on you, but there's ways around that.
You do need to use the meross app to configure some of the more advanced settings like sensor distance and stuff like that.
With matter it is able to connect right to smart things so automations are pretty fast however smart things treats it like a motion and lux sensor not a full presence sensor so some out of the box smart things automations kind of end up leaving you in the dark but I got around that.
It is working pretty good. I own two of them now. I'll probably get another one or two in the future if the price is right.
Certainly a step up from my SmartThings motion sensors so long as I have a power point nearby.

- Reviewed in Canada on March 15, 2025Verified PurchaseSetup was quick and easy—I added the sensor to Google Home and the Meross app using the Matter codes without any issues. Firmware updates installed smoothly as well.
I installed the sensor in my garage, and so far, both the presence and lux sensors have been working reliably. A screenshot confirms that it’s not generating false positives—it’s correctly detecting that no motion or presence has occurred for days. I have a detached garage that is about 40 feet from my router and it has been able to keep connected which is great.
I haven’t tested HomeKit integration since I don’t have an Apple Hub. While it doesn’t advertise native Home Assistant integration, I’m optimistic that it will work via the Meross HACS addons. My Meross garage opener has works great with Home Assistant, so I’m hopeful this sensor will too.
One improvement would be a Zigbee version or another option that doesn’t rely on the cloud. That would help reduce latency and allow for full local control.
Overall, a solid and reliable smart presence sensor! If you’re in the Matter ecosystem, this is definitely worth considering.

I have it working in Homekit and Home Assistant. The Millimeter wave sensor works well in my bedroom where I sometimes sit for long hours without much movement. The sensor knows I'm still in the room.

- Reviewed in Canada on March 30, 2025Verified PurchaseI would love to love this more but the thing keeps dropping off the wifi network every couple of days, requiring an unplug and reboot every single time. This is not only inconvenient but makes the device nearly useless unless you have easy access to it for reboot. This means I can’t mount it fully. Ugh
- Reviewed in Canada on May 3, 2025Verified PurchaseWhat I like about this presence sensor is that it is Matter compatible and I can install it in Homekit without any issue and without me needing to buy an additional hub. It has also been very reliable so far. I use it in my bedroom turned office and have an automation setup that the lights will turn on if the room falls below a certain lux setting. Happy so far!
