This pump works great. Did not have to worry about it leaking and the quick disconnect ends on the pump kept the hose from separating and making a mess. Definitely worth spending an extra a couple of dollars for the added feature and the pump works amazing moving transmission fluid into the catch pan Quickly and efficiently .. SMART JERRY Air OR Fluid Transfer Pump - Good, Small, General Purpose Hand Pump. It is hard to ask for more from this pump. It can be used, if clean, to pump up sports balls, rafts, inner tubes, air mattresses, boat fenders, marine floats, pool toys, kids toys, and virtually any inflatable item. The pump comes with a tire valve stem locking inflation hose, a ball needle, and an inflation cone.

To assist in facilitating fluid transfers, there are two lengths of vinyl hose 51 inches long each. The instruction manual says this clear vinyl hose is 15/32” diameter. I have checked the pump using good 1/2" diameter clear vinyl hose. It works just like the original hose did!

Why use it only as an air pump or a fluid transfer pump? You cannot clean this pump internally. So, that only increases the risk of getting petroleum based product fumes (and possibly droplets) into the bladder of your air holding device. All plastic and rubber bladders and gaskets are significantly deteriorated by the presence of petroleum. Using any pump for petroleum fluid transfer will shorten the life of the pump. You must clean it well after use if you wish it to last. This pump does not screw apart on the end caps. It was pressed together. Forcing it apart for cleaning may break the pump. Cleaning is the single most important thing that must be done if you run a liquid through the pump other than clean water.

Bottom Line: 4 Stars
This is as basic and small a fluid transfer pump as you will find. MAJOR Downside: It does not come apart to clean after use. It also does not come with any type of storage case. It is very simple… Vacuum port up top and pressure on the bottom with a pump handle on top.
