PUREFULLY Bromelain
It is not possible to objectively evaluate the benefits or the efficacy of supplements through ordinary home use; so, I will not get into this product's effectiveness, but you can search the Internet for the benefits of the main ingredients of this product, namely bromelain. It comes in the form of capsules. You can see a size comparison in the photo with a capsule of this product on the left and a One-A-Day tablet on the right. The capsules are about the same size as the One-A-Day tablets, perhaps slightly longer, but capsule forms are usually much easier to swallow than tablets. It does not have any smell or aftertaste upon use, but there is a very slight smell inside the bottle, barely noticeable even if you specifically smell there. It is explicitly indicated on the product label that it was "made in Canada", and that is a plus for me. It has an NPN number (Natural Product Number) that can be used to confirm that it was licensed in April 2024. There is only a single brand name associated with the license, and the license holder is PUREFULLY Health Inc. The list of medicinal ingredients in the NPN product information page indicates only a single ingredient: bromelain. The risk information on the NPN page is as follows: "Cautions and Warnings Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you are taking anticoagulant agents, anti-inflammatory agents, or antibiotics. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you have gastrointestinal lesions/ulcers or are having a surgery. Some people may experience gastrointestinal discomfort/disturbances." It comes in a plastic container with 90 capsules in it. The recommended dosage is 1 capsule, 1-3 times per day, with food/meal, which should have the bottle last for 1-3 months. However, note that this seems more of a "use as needed" type of supplement. You don't really need to use a specified amount regularly, so it can last much longer depending on how often you use it. The price of $22 CAD at the time of writing seems okay considering it can last you up to 3 months. While I cannot confirm the claimed benefits or the product's efficacy, I see no reason to cut any stars from my rating. I like that it was made in Canada, and I appreciate that it comes with a proper NPN number on the bottle. Please check carefully the cautions and warnings.
