These face paint sticks or crayons do work very well, and my grandchildren and their friends are having lots of fun with them. In fact, I already purchased a second set in order to reduce the level of squabbling over whose turn it is. For me, these crayons provide better skin coverage than other face paints I have purchased in the past, but the colours when applied to skin are not as totally opaque and vivid as depicted in the pictures on the product listing page. I wonder if this is a matter of skill, technique, and practise. I watched the video, and it did seem to show that it is necessary to colour over each area multiple times in order to achieve the most opaque kind of coverage and colour, but that part of the video was shown at fast-forward speed, so I was not able to see how many times the colour was applied, or how much pressure was used. I was not impressed with the video, which really should be a clear demonstration of the best use of the product, but in this case was not at all helpful. Also, it is stated that half of the crayons provide glow-in-the dark colours, but I am not finding this to be accurate; apparently, the colours glow in the dark when ultra-violet light is used, which to me is a completely different thing. However, for me, that is a secondary concern. What I was mainly looking for was a clean, tidy form of face paint, one that provides a good kind of colour and coverage, and these crayons are doing that. They also clean off the skin exactly as stated: just wash with soap and water. The face paint sticks that I tried previously required multiple washes, and still left a slight stain. These colours come off completely with one normal washing. So, all things considered, I do like this set. I think it is a good product, not messy, and appropriate for kids and adults.

Today I’m reviewing face paint.

🎨👩🏼‍🎤👉🏽This kids' face paint is really nice! My daughter, who's very artistic, used it to create some amazing designs, including realistic-looking fake wounds. The colors are rich and vibrant, and what I love most is how easily it washes off. ⚠️👉🏽The only issue was the red, which left a slight stain, but with some extra makeup wipes, it came off.

💰👉🏽At $16.99, the price is reasonable, especially with Halloween🧛‍♂️ approaching. The fact that the paint comes in a palette instead of pans means less mess, and it's non-toxic, making it great for both kids and adults!

At $16.99 (or $1.42 each), this is a good assortment of colours and is affordable for first attempts. I have a nephew who has done this before, and I will learn more from him. I wanted to try them out before the event, and I see the tempera paint dries quickly and washes off easily without a trace. I did not leave the paint on for hours, but I would expect that it would still wash off without a trace.

The product photographs show blunt tips on the stick, but I found that if you hold the stick at a 90-degree angle, you get a broad line and a thin line at a 45-degree angle. The colours are bright, but they do not "glow at night". I suspect the neon colours are fluorescent and require black lighting.

Unlike painting with brushes and the cleanup that follows, I like that I only need to ensure the lids are put back on the pen.

These are a good concept but they don't work well. That could be due to the heat, though.
The tips of the markers are very thick, making any kind of detailing, even as simple as thin lines, difficult to achieve and messy looking. The amount of "paint" that gets applied looks very thin, so you need to go over lines multiple times to get a good coverage.
Even after being left to dry for 20 minutes, the paint smudged really really badly. So it's not quick drying, even on dry skin.

Overall, might be good for very young kids, but anyone who wants a slightly better design is going to be disappointed.

This product offers a great alternative to the traditional paint-and-paintbrush approach. I love that the paint is conveniently applied directly from the stick, making it easy to start painting on the skin.
