- Reviewed in Canada on June 3, 2025Verified PurchaseNice sampler, good ingredients used.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 11, 2025I could see this making a great gift. Excellent hot sauces with a pretty wide variety of flavours and heat levels. Each one is super tasty. It's also a good starting point if you're not sure what kind of hot sauce you enjoy.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 15, 2025This set of hot sauces are simply fantastic! I tried them in order of least hot to most and they are listed in that order below.
Vertigo - this is my second favourite. You definitely get the lime but not a lot of the cilantro which I prefer as I am not a fan of cilantro. It's a very mild sauce but delicious. Would be great on tacos.
Chene Reaction - this places fourth on my list of favourites. It's a very good all around hot sauce. Mild heat, somewhat like Franks hot sauce.
Calypso - this is my favourite! It has pineapple flavour, which I typically don't like but the balance is perfect! I could almost drink this stuff! Medium heat level.
Royal Bourbon - this was close to my favourite but it wound up in third place since it's just a little bit too hot for me. It would be great with red meat.
Bollywood - This sauce is very tasty as well, but just a little bit too hot for me. But I think it would be fantastic in marinades to calm it down a bit.
Le Fruit Defendu - It is really tasty but again just a bit too hot for me. But it would be add beautiful flavour to any dish you are cooking!
Overall a fantastic set of hot sauces! It was packaged well and would make a fantastic gift for any hot sauce lovers in your life!
- Reviewed in Canada on April 27, 2025I have tried each of the hot sauces on a variety of foods and like them all! The hottest ones turned my face red, made my nose run, my eyes water and my scalp sweat. Yes, they get that hot. Here is a breakdown of my impressions:
Vertigo (Lime Cilantro) - Immediately hot, heated my gums, i joke you not. This is supposed o be the mildest of the group. Ha!
Chain Reaction (Fermented and Oak-Infused) - Nice and Mild, great on rice. A mature dinner flavour.
Calypso (Pineapple-Sunshine) I didn't find this to be hot at all, it was the mildest in terms of heat level to my taste buds. My nose noticed the heat when I breathed, however. Nice pineapple flavour.
Royal Bourbon (Bourbon-Spice) - Very spicy with a delayed kick that builds. My face turned red and my nose watered.
Bollywood (Curry-Coconut) - I love curry paste, the thick kind that is made with coconut milk and marinated with chicken. This sauce has a lot of that going for it. It creeps up and gets intense.
Le Fruit Defendu - This reminds me more of tomato by its flavour. I accidentally put a bit much of this on an egg roll during the first tasting and had to get 3 glasses of water followed by 2-3 glasses of milk to put out the fire. Sweating, lightheaded, I cleared my throat once and started a brush fire.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 23, 2025This is a great sampling or gift set for a hot sauce enthusiast. It is Canadian made, well packaged and branded, and overall feels like an independent/boutique kind of product. The bottles are nice quality, the labels are sleek but fun in design, and the flavours are interesting and varied. There are some more "standard" flavours but also lime and cilantro and a pineapple curry, making this much more interesting than the usual ones you find at the grocery store.
The one caveat I will add is that they are all spicy save the one marked with no chili peppers. The scale started pretty high, so if you are not used to spice, or just starting out, these may well already be too spicy for you. Not for the faint of heart, anyway.
This set makes for a great gift for spice lovers, hot sauce fiends, and adventurous souls for anything from a birthday to a house-warming.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 24, 2025I have always enjoyed spicier foods, so I usually have one or two hot sauces on hand, but this awesome 6-pack of different varieties from the LA PIMENTERIE Store, gives me a great opportunity to explore other flavours!
I have now tried all six on various foods, and pretty much enjoyed them all, although a couple of them were maybe a bit too hot, even for my extreme tastes — but I'm not complaining! ;-)
Overall, an excellent collection for hot sauce lovers!
5 STARS!!!
- Reviewed in Canada on May 16, 2025Package delivered fine and wrapped. The packaging is simple but looks good. The hot sauces have good variety and have different spice levels. This is a great buy or gift for a hot sauce lover and want to have a good selection of hot sauce without big bottles. Would be good for hot wings challenge too!

- Reviewed in Canada on April 28, 2025This is a fun sample set of hot sauces. Each bottle is 58ml, enough for several uses. There’s a good mix of sauces. A few are vinegary, a few sugary, with varying degrees of heat. There are two level one hot sauces, one level 2, one level 4 and two level 5. The fives are very hot. The Bollywood especially stays with you, even if you eat other things in an attempt to dull the fire. It’s sweet and coconutty, so worth the discomfort. All of them have complex flavours. I did find that Le Fruit Defendu, one of the level 5s, had more heat than flavour though. The heat for that sauce comes on fast and strong. It doesn’t linger the way Bollywood does.
