This replacement battery for the nintendo DS lite comes with a screwdriver to remove the battery cover on the back of the DS. There is no tool to help remove the old battery out but there is a notch on the right side of the battery that can be used to lever it out of the handheld. I did find it a bit more difficult to get the new battery into place but it only took a bit more effort than normal. Also the covering needed to be pushed down to stick to one end of the battery. The replacement battery worked and was able to power up the handheld. So it's a good replacement battery.

    I was expecting to receive a 2000mah battery and got sent a 2500mah battery instead. It's working flawlessly and the packaging included the right screwdriver for the job which is awesome

    The only thing that would make it better is if they included a small suction cup to help pry the battery cover off since mine has been on since first purchased but I had a suction cup of my own to help and it went amazing

    The inevitable happened: after being charged after being unused for more than 10 years, the battery on my DS Lite developed a case of spicy packet syndrome and swelled up to the point where it was causing the panel to bulge out a bit. A replacement is in order, and this one came in at the perfect time.

    The box, like the battery itself, is very small when it gets to you, which is great because all you have (and need) is the replacement battery and a small screwdriver to open up the battery door. Just unscrew that, pop out the old spicy battery, and put this new on in its place, place and screw in the battery door, and power it on! I charged it up all the way (usually recommend to get accurate as-advertised battery life and in case you every get a faulty unit) before I powered it on, and works flawlessly. We'll have to see how long it'll last on a single charge (which the DS family excelled it), but so far everything works as intended.
