This battery from Shenmz is an affordable, direct replacement battery for the Nintendo DS XL, DSi LL and DSi XL. It is part number UTL-003 and is not compatible with Nintendo 3DS models so be sure to confirm that it matches your model number.

The battery comes with a screwdriver and is easy to install. Using the screwdriver to remove the 2 screws, remove the battery cover on the rear of the Nintendo DS, remove the hold battery (it easily pops out) then insert the replacement battery by aligning the pins (it will only work one way). The battery is identical in physical size and has even more capacity than the original battery at 2000mAh. It is the same 3.7 volts as the OEM battery. The battery has internal protections for overcharging and short-circuits and supports 800 charge cycles. I will use this battery as a backup to my older battery and take it with me when traveling in case the old one finally stops working.
