Update: April 11th, 2025
Our Wimius K9 projector had been performing wonderfully for regular day to day tv streaming viewing, movie watching, console gaming as our primary living room tv device. Colors are bright and vibrant, blacks are a deep pitch black, good contrast with dark tones of color visible against black - this is important now that the hollywood trend has been to make very dimly lit movies for some annoying reason.
Even the built-in speakers have been really good for general daytime tv content, or use the headphone out for headphones or smaller set of speakers when not wanting to spend power running the big theater audio system. When the streaming apps have content in 4k, the projector does a wonderful job handling it. The Wimius K9 is the ideal home theater projector experience.
Unfortunately, just recently, our K9 had developed a problem, a light tannish-brown spot appeared just left of center, big enough that its quite noticeable in scenes with light colors like daytime sky, brightly lit interior rooms, or white winter snowy backdrops. We've been careful to check the intake dust/particle filter regularly, it barely collects any dust as it is.
We had to check around home for printed documentation, and indeed we had registered the projector at the Wimius company website soon as we received it. We contacted the company support by email about the issue, and received a reply about half a day later. The company customer service informed us the K9 has a 3 year warranty, offered to replace the entire unit for free, without requiring the current unit to be returned.
As of this writing, Wimius already sent the confirmation email that the projector is on its way, complete with an estimated shipping time and possible delivery date. This all happened over a quick 2 days for contacting them, some communication back and forth (for address info, etc) and replacement shipping confirmation.
To sum it up, our experience with Wimius after-sales service is very good. The customer service was friendly, no questions asked (aside for a shipping address), and hassle free pleasant experience. We are very impressed and pleased with Wimius customer support.
Wimius stands behind their products and warranty, and this is the type of company I want to continue buying products from and highly recommend to other people. Especially when it comes to buying products online and from 鶹, and for a company to directly honor product warranty for a product purchased on 鶹? That speaks for itself.

We've had and been using projectors for the past 15-20 years, from big brand names to more recently over the last several years, the smaller and newer Asian market brands of lower cost and budget projectors.
We use a projector in our livingroom in place of a tv, for wall-sized screen viewing, daily use. If you want a quality projector that won't break the bank, buy the WIMIUS K9. The K9's price point easily double to triple that of the rest of the 'low budget' projector brands out there, but yet also still below the $500 mark, and rivals the big brand names in performance and picture quality.
The biggest selling feature point for us about the K9 is the internally sealed flow-through design. The promo video illustrates accidental dust and debris being sucked into the projector's innards and out the other vent without touching or affecting the projection lens components. All the other low cost or budget projectors we've had in the past had cheap useless filters that only blocked the largest of dust particles while collecting fine dust on the inside of the lens that can't be accessed or cleaned.
The WIMIUS K9 was very user friendly to setup out of the box. All controls are through a digital settings menu, no manual dials/rings/etc to fiddle with. Also makes it easier to adjust the sharpness/focus from where your sitting, not several feet further back where the projector is mounted. The settings include all the important features required for making the picture display perfectly straight on a fixed projector screen. It has color and picture adjustments to fine tune as needed.
One interesting feature is the "auto calibration" functions which run by default each time the projector is turned on or plugged in, or moved/jiggled. Auto-calibration can be useful or annoying, and thankfully can be disabled. Oddly, the one feature missing is the option to manually run the auto-calbration.
Image quality is exceptionally good: The WIMIUS K9 projects incredibly bright and vivid colors, and deep blacks. Skin tones look natural even on default settings. There are presets and manual color adjustments if you wish to fine-tune things further.
Can watch tv in daytime with some daylight coming in, or in the evenings with ceiling lights / floor lamps turned on. This is based on a high end fixed projector screen. Best picture quality naturally will be in a darkened room with minimal lighting. This is based on a decently high quality fixed projector screen. Results may vary from projecting onto different types of projector screens and bare walls.
Other features and performance:
- Silent. The K9 is very quiet when running.
- 2 hdmi ports, is not a 4k projector but accepts 4k signals without issue.
- 1 headphone jack for external headphones or speakers.
- sd card slot (not tested, dont have anything to load onto one)
