Beware of the size of the carrier that comes with the saw. It would be great for moving around outside, but the length of it requires a lot of space if you want it for an inside workshop. It is lamentable that the saw is not available without the carrier. It is difficult and very time consuming to put the thing together and not useful in a smaller shop. Anyone want to buy mine? Otherwise the saw itself works well but absolutely requires advanced noise protection.

I have an older one i still use a lot . We bought 3 new ones for site finish work. I have had to replace all 3 crank handles for bringing blade up and down. Now i am having to replace them again. they are around six months into use . To much plastic so disappointing i bought these with such high hopes

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Stand

I just got this thing. Put it all together - no problems except the hex wrench provided is made of very soft steel and I quickly destroyed it. Got lots of hex wrenches. I've not yet used this saw, so I'll not comment.

The stand however is the best design I've seen. It takes virtually no effort to setup or take down. It almost does these things by itself. I'm not a young man. I don't like lifting heavy weights. My DeWalt miter saw stand is a major pain to setup and take down. This Bosch portable saw stand is a dream.

I'm downsizing in retirement from a 8'x14' sliding table saw, so this review is based on pretty high standards. Out of the box the blade was aligned with the left miter slot to .003", I can't be more accurate than that. The right miter slot is a small issue as it is .008" out of alignment, and of course there is no way to adjust that, but honestly anything under 10 thousandths is acceptable, particularly in a portable saw. The fence was off .013", but it was a simple adjustment and dialed in to .001" easily. The blade that comes with it is nothing special, but it works fine for a general purpose blade, I kept my Forrest Woodworker II and CMT blades so I'm in good shape. I also added the left side and outfeed support features, these are excellent additions giving you support 8 1/2" left of the table and 15" of outfeed support. This allows my existing miter sled to run effortlessly on the saw. Please keep in mind you cannot run thin kerf blades with the riving knife width, that's not a problem for me as I don't use them.

    Bosch GTS15-10

    Less than expected.

Remember that feeling you had as a kid leading up to Christmas morning? The excitement of that new toy you wanted so bad, only to get it and find out it just didn’t live up to the hype? Yeah that’s about how I feel about this saw. I had anticipated that Bosch would be replacing their 10” job-site tablesaw based on their newer cordless versions that came with rack and pinion fences.
Being a fan of Bosch tools and owner of many I was super excited when it showed up on their website and wanted to see it in per son. But my 25+ year old DeWalt 744 type 1 developed an issue when beveling the blade, forcing me to make an early decision for a replacement. Since parts are no longer available to repair the one I have, it came down to a decision between a new DeWalt and the new Bosch. So that is the benchmark that I have to compare this to. For reference, I have been a professional cabinet maker and installer for 40 years and I have countless hours on various table saws. This is not a cabinet grade saw but it is exactly the grade of saw one would expect an installer to be using.
My first impression after unpacking and assembling the new saw and stand I have to say that I was seriously considering disassembling it and sending it back.
First the rack and pinion fence feels horribly lightweight and cheap. It moves incredibly easy, but I attribute that to how loose it fits. Instead of cast aluminum end caps and clamps on the fence they are just thin plastic which I would not expect to hold up at all in a construction environment and the aluminum fence itself feels very thin and light weight. Drop it once and your saw will be out of commission while you wait for replacement parts. This is a tool, not a toy!
Moving on, the fence rails are also extruded aluminum including the rack teeth which appear to be die cut after extrusion. As aluminum is rather soft I question how the teeth will wear in the long run. The thickness of the sliding rails at the thinnest part is only .0535”, less than 1/16”, making me question durability. I am also not a fan of the metal pointer and have already replaced it with a hairline pointer from DeWalt.
The miter gauge is underwhelming and quite useless. The guide rail only measures 8-1/4” long from the face of the gauge fence, and the fence is nothing more than bent sheet metal and has no stops at any angle. It also fits sloppy in the guide tracks with .014” of play. The slot measures .76” wide and the guide rail measures 0.746”. Should you choose this saw and need a miter gauge, plan on spending some money on an upgrade and throwing this one in the trash. A nice feature is the on tool storage location but since the miter gauge is worthless it doesn’t serve any purpose as an aftermarket upgrade won’t fit.
The table insert out of the box is bowed and not able to level with the table top, it fits loose and rattles around the opening and the “lock” that holds it in place is cheap plastic that neither fits right, nor securely holds the plate in place. The height adjustment screws are also loose fitting and I question whether they will stay set. Some thread lock may be necessary.
The blade height crank wheel is rather small, as in child size and made of plastic. Although it does raise and lower easily it makes a rather unpleasant noise when being lowered. Seems to be a gear mesh issue and other than sounding bad will probably never affect performance or longevity. Although of note, they lost the plastic bevel gears from previous models and replaced them with metal! Plus one point for that! The blade carrier assembly also has a cloth guard on the motor side to help keep saw dust and debris out of the motor and mechanism which may help in both dust collection and mechanism life. Nice detail, and the dust port does accept a standard 2-1/2” shop vacuum hose, although I noticed when disconnecting that the plastic housing is extremely flimsy and I am concerned about cracking and longevity. The right side of the blade assembly also has a full guard that extends to the bottom of the table that is held in place with springs to further reduce dust escaping and increase vacuum suction.
Blade vs fence vs groove alignment. Out of the box the blade and fence appear to be aligned. However a quick check with the miter gauge running front to back reveals that the fence and blade are not in alignment with the table and runs from 0” at the front to about 1/16” gap at the rear with the fence at the right of the blade. Anyone using the miter gauge or a sled will need to realign the blade and the fence. Instructions to make adjustments are clearly written in the manual and simple to perform.
Table top. No surprise here that it’s not flat although nowhere near as bad as the insert plates. Running a straight edge across the surface reveals about .030” variance. Probably not an issue for straight cuts but could cause an issue with bevel cuts on narrow parts as the table next to the insert is not flat and the insert is also not flat or solid.
Bevel miter stops. Good thing I checked these as they were way off. At 0 it was off about 1 degree and at 45 it was off almost 3 degrees. That’s crazy out of spec for my needs so of course I made the adjustments which were easy and straight forward. The stops will also flip out of the way just in case you do need to go a couple extra degrees in either direction which is a nice bonus feature. Of note, most v-fold bits used on cnc equipment are actually 91 degrees to ensure a tight fit on the outer edge. So it can be advantageous.

On the positive side. Bosch does offer some useful accessories for this machine including left side and rear support extensions, both of which I have purchased and installed. However the left side support is the same model number from previous versions, and the one that I received did not include instructions for this model saw. Although similar the brackets need to be installed flipped from what is shown in the instructions and the adjustment knob which also acts as a stop when extended is located incorrectly for this machine. I opted to buy a drill and tap to relocate the knob so that both sides extended the same distance. 4mm tap and drill required and placed at 1-15/16” from original hole.
The rear extension c-clip just barely interferes with the rack and pinion support. The solution is to either turn the clip and hope it stays in that position or a dremmel would make a quick relief.

I also purchased the zero clearance insert and the dado insert. Both of which will be returned and replaced with self made insert plates as the aftermarket hasn’t addressed this model yet. The zero clearance plate is nothing more than cheap flimsy plastic and the dado insert has the same bowed problem that the standard plate has, although it also comes with an arbor adapter which is needed for use with thicker stacked dado sets.

Zero gravity stand is excellent! Super easy to go from mobile to setup and back to mobile. It’s even very easy to move the saw on the wheels in the setup position, and assembly was simple and instructions were clearly written.

Warranty. Every other saw I looked at in this category carries a 3 year warranty with 1 year of free service. Bosch only offers a 1 year warranty with 1 year of free service. They don’t even include any kind of warranty information with the tool. Just a link on the internet that didn’t work. Convenient in case they want to change their warranty in the future.

Overall thoughts? It doesn’t live up to my expectations of quality from the Bosch brand. But after doing more research it seems that every saw in this category has similar issues and similar build. Although harbor freight offers their Hercules model at half the price with comparable or better build quality. I almost wonder if they’re all built in the same Taiwan factory and distributed under different brands. DeWalt, Ridgid, SawStop, and others all have the same style aluminum fence rails and plastic fence end caps. The Bosch still has some clear cut advantages IMO over many of them. The ability to cut 4x4 material in one pass, table extensions for larger material, Soft start, blade brake, and electronic blade load compensation, and the ability to run dado stacks are all pluses and the reasons why I would recommend this saw. The DeWalt does run the blade at 1,000 rpm faster but it’s powered with an equivalent 15amp motor so I am assuming that is accomplished with different gearing??? In my mind that would be like running your car in a higher gear. Nice for top speed unloaded, but not as useful when climbing a hill while pulling a load. Although I have not done a side by side comparison.

Rating. Obviously I’m not going to give this 5 stars. It just doesn’t deserve it.
For features I would give 5 stars, however, for execution of those features 2 stars would be my rating as the quality and fitment is just not there. The table, inserts, and miter gauge are all complete failures.
Overall quality I waver around 3 stars which would be average. But price vs value is 1 star.
Hence my overall rating of 2 stars.

I quit buying Dewalt because of poor quality but now I’m second guessing my decision to go Bosch.

Sorry Bosch. You need to do better.

Edit: After putting this saw through its paces and performing a full tune up using digital gauges, and replacing the throat plate with a phenolic insert, and replacing the indicator with a hairline indicator from Dewalt, I have to say that actually using this saw is a delight. The fence is perfectly straight, square, and perpendicular, and the cuts couldn’t be any better. Dust collection is fantastic.
Quality of cut and accuracy is what it’s all about and this saw does not disappoint in that category. That being said, it should still be better out of the box. But if you’re serious about woodworking, you’re going to do all of these things anyway.
