I have only had these traps for a couple of days and, honestly? The weather has been surprisingly chilly lately so not many wasps have been hanging around to try them out on, but I am confident they are going to work well. My confidence is based on the fact that they use these traps (or ones that look identical to them) at the open market I shop at and I have seen firsthand just how effective they are. The traps there are usually packed full with wasps standing two and three high on top of each other. For now I am comfortable with my rating, but if the traps fail to meet my expectations then I will edit my review as necessary. In terms of appearance/construction? The traps I received look exactly as pictured and seem reasonably well made to me, though I am hardly any sort of expert on the subject. They are made from a rigid plastic-type material that seems fairly durable, but could be cracked if it were to bang up against anything hard.

    Do NOT buy these traps unless you like mopping up your kitchen floor. Instructions show how you fill it from the top, and then screw on the white lid. No problem... that part is sturdy. What they DON'T tell you is that the bottom half of the bigger section falls off! It has a very poorly designed thread fit, which does not hold liquid when it's only half-way up the bottom section! Very disappointing. I ended up with splashed sugary fruit juice all over my clothes, my kitchen floor, and my cabinets. I tried testing them OUTSIDE with plain water, and they still fell apart, no matter how securely I tried to thread them back together. Total junk. Do not buy. I threw them in the garbage.

    These looked great in the online photos, and they arrive nicely packaged. The only problem is once you actually open the box. There are two wasp traps in the box, both made of incredibly thin, very brittle plastic - the kind that might crack if you breathe on it, touch it, or apply a small force of any kind upon it. We have previously had wasp traps that looked similar - so we ordered these ones, thinking they would be the same as what we had in the past. Not so much. Our previous traps were one moulded piece of plastic - a solid unit with a screw on lid - simple design. These ones, however arrive in pieces - the yellow body of the trap is actually 3 separate pieces that assemble like a fragile, awkward little puzzle. I mean, easy to put together, but the real problem is the pieces don't really fit together all that well - there are visible open cracks where they go together. And the bottom part - the part that holds the water/liquid to entice & kill the wasps - the bottom part is a separate piece. So when you put the pieces together (they don't hold together very well) and then go to fill the thing under the tap - the force of a softly running gentle kitchen sink tap at low-pressure will cause the bottom to fall out once its about half full. So reassemble, hold it FROM the bottom, your hand underneath it - supporting the weight, and refill. Now to hang the thing without it falling apart again, my goodness - this design is absolute hot garbage. Don't buy this.
