2-in-1 Design: The tripod stone bag is designed to hold a sandbag or stones to lower the center of gravity of your camera/tripod/tripod head combination and add some stability. It can also be used as a shelf to store accessories that you need quick access to like lens caps, filters, or lenses.
Easy Installation: Easily attaches to all tripod legs via connecting strap with adjustable buckles. It fits any tripod leg diameter no more than 1.8 inches/ 45mm. Moreover, it features one more buckle on each strap to adjust the lengths to fit different opening angles of the tripod.
Better Organization: It features one medium pocket and two independent small pockets on each side of the tripod stone bag. These separated pockets allow you to store different equipment as you need. The medium pocket features hook and loop closure for more safety storage. In addition, a webbing loop is underneath the bag which allow you to attach a hook or carabiner to add some counterweight.
Durable Material: The tripod rock bag is composed of durable nylon, resistant to tear, abrasion, corrosion and high temperature.
Payload: The equipment storage bag holds up to 44 lbs/ 20 kg.

This, like so many non-descript photo items is far more useful than any of your mega-dollar super duper electronic wizz bang flashy electronics are. Why? Because it lets you work more efficiently. No amount of mega pixels will do that for you.

Ostensibly, this is designed for the great outdoors . . . shooting in the wilderness, or Aunt Mary's backyard, but it echoes what you will find in any studio . . . a place to keep a few essentials close at hand. In the studio, a tray attached to the studio stand, or a cart . . . key helpers. This of course can be used in a studio also if you are using a tripod as some do.

About the bag. First, I like it very much, and keep that in mind as I have a few negatives that will make me sound like I hate it, but I don't.

Manfrotto has had a similar bag for years, and in the last decades, I have seen a few copies come to market. The Manfrotto is better made, better conceived, but costs about three times as much as this.

This is very well made. There are three retention straps that go around each tripod leg, and are adjustable with a slip-through buckle which you then tighten down the strap to hold it in place. There is one main centre compartment (Manfrotto and some others are equally divided into three compartments). Around the perimeter of this, there are a few fiddly "compartments" that close with hook and loop (velcro-like) fasteners. Underneath there is a small loop so one can hook on a counterweight. Some people will use these aprons simply as a place to hold rocks or whatever as a stability aid.

All the stitching is well done, and with one exception, more than adequate. Clean, no loose threads, well finished. The loop underneath though, is very narrow, and has minimal stitching. If you are going to be attaching a five, ten pound weight, or more . . . after a few years and weather, it will give way.

The side pockets. Some people will probably love them. To me, they are ridiculous. They are varying sizes going from maybe the size of a large fist, down to . . . magic marker? popsicle? . . . and frankly, none of them are very useful. The open concept that Manfrotto uses with just three compartments is far more useful and practical. And velcro closures? what for? Too fussy, too restraining. The idea of this is a fairly safe "table/storage" for easy access, not a bank vault.

Now, as I said, I like it a lot, and for it's price I think it is great . . . truth be told about that, the price of this is quite good, the price of the Manfrotto is . . . well, obscene.

And just so you can all have a good laugh, with my feelings about the price difference, it is the very reason I did not buy another Manfrotto (here comes the part where you can laugh), mine, which I liked very much, got chewed up on one side by . . . mice.

Keep in mind if you are considering this, or any other, that if you have a long centrepost on your tripod, it might end up ramming right into the bag. I have two Gitzos, and the one this gets used on has a short post (6 inches) . . . which gives me no problem at all . . . the long one is a bit intrusive.

It is a good apron/bag, and the price is really great. I do actually recommend it even with it's annoyances.

I bought this for Range Officer duties or when in windy conditions. So far, I can say it has fulfilled my goals. Some have the buckle attachment and I have seen these start to slip over time. So I opted for this product because it uses velcro. So far, no concerns with it wearing out. It holds things secure, is negligible in weight, and has plenty of space for my needs. AND if I still need more weight, there is a center hook on the underside.

Good quality Tripod weight bag :)
Since I'm living in Hawaii, I do take my camera and tripod to the beach a lot!
I always had a problem to keep the tripod stable at beach, especially on windy days.

This tripod weight stone bag works great to solve my issues.
My use case is; I hung the weight bag on the tripod leg, then bring a 2 of 5lb dumbbell to use as a weight.
In most of case, 2 x 5lb dumbbell works perfect, but in really windy time I add one more dumbbell just in case. Since the bag holds up to 44lb, you don't have to worry about the weight from those dumbbells.
I never used the counter weight, but it's handy in case you need it.

Also, I love the little extra pocket on the edge of the bag. You can leave the extra accessories there
