    This is a simple device, and assembly is simple, but the instructions are simply absent, and incorrect orientation will result in a non-working system. Hopefully, there is an arrow to indicate correct orientation. The device needs some assembly, this is probably because there are no prescribed ways to install quick connects, worse, some hoses even come with adapters and suggest installing female connector at both ends. Personally, I install the quick connect just like an air compressor, a female connector at the pump, the spigot (male end) at the gun and different genders at each end of the hoses, so any hose can become an extension. If you do something else, then install the quick connects to have the water flow in the good direction. Remember, you need a couple of things for this to work: correct orientation, correct soap, correct nozzle, open the adjustment screw.

    But why is it more durable than the built-in injector? Simply because the one on the pump can never be cleaned completely. Even worse, on a gas-powered machine, the soap accumulates in the unloader valve which eventually jams and needs to be replaced. Having the soap as close as possible to the gun is the best thing.

    But why is it better? Because you can adjust the amount of soap, and you can place it closer to the gun, if not literally on the gun. You can also close the soap input and flush the water in the hose before using high-pressure nozzle.
