    I bought this pack of 3 LM2596 DC to DC buck converters for my home automation projects. On my workbench I usually run with a 12v or 24v power supply and wanted and easy way to bring this down to 3.3v or 5v for ESP microcontrollers when prototyping.

    Turns out they are super handy for permanent installations with their convenient standoffs, LED display and toggle button to change the readout from input to output voltage.

    Very flexible for input and output voltages. Great value. Recommended.

    Got sent 3 pcs of junk that just pass voltage through one side of the pcb to the other. There is no voltage control or "tuning" mode as indicated in the very fine print in some form of broken English about short/moderate/ long presses of the button on the board. This button simply toggles between the inaccurate input, and the inaccurate output voltages. No other instructions were provided and each piece was sealed in a static proof bag. Obviously no quality control and appears to be a "look alike" scam of the real thing. Returning & recommend buying a different model from a different seller. I could maybe understand one of the 3 failing to function, but all 3 units??? Get outta here with this junk.
