Made a rock wall for my kids room but couldn’t use a few of the bolts that came with it because it overlapped the 2x4’s behind the board. So these lag screws were the perfect size four rock cleats that needed to be screwed in and holding the entire board up. Perfect fit and snug as a cork in a wine bottle. I noticed that the screws didn’t strip at all when they became flush with the board, so durability seems to be on its side as well. Lags are fine, the coating poor

I bought these for a set of high quality hinges. The screws that came with the hinges were too light for the load. Hinges black so I looked for black lags. The seller claimed the finish would not flake off. The lags had lots of flaking right out of the box. The package was filled with black flakes.
