Selenium Sulfide
Fights dandruff with its anti-fungal properties and helps remove dead skin cells.
Selenium sulfide is an effective antifungal medication that controls dandruff and seborrhea. Selsun Blue 2.5% Extra Strength shampoo also targets tinea versicolor. For best results, use it at least twice a week to relieve most symptoms of dandruff.
Pyrithione Zinc
Inhibits dandruff growth with anti-fungal properties.
Pyrithione zinc, a keratinization regulator, helps normalize skin cell formation and exfoliation to reduce clumping. It also regulates sebum production, effectively managing scalp oiliness.
Salicylic Acid
Salicylic acid is a topical agent which fights dandruff by removing scaly skin and decreasing cell-to-cell clumping. In our Botanicals product, salicylic acid does double duty by treating and preventing the recurrence of dandruff, with regular use.
