I'm almost 50 so I've used many different vacuums in my life and this is probably my favourite. I use all of the features every time I vacuum. It's a bit heavier and narrower than my last one but I love the swivel head. It makes getting into corners and moving around furniture so much easier. I don't know why I didn't get it sooner. I actually prefer the narrower head as it can get between furniture more easily. The head is also not as high as others and slides nicely under most furniture. The upright part lowers almost to the ground before lifting the head which helps under beds and tables as well. I appreciate the ease of removing the suction hose and the fact that the brush doesn't rotate when it's fully upright. I have a dog that thinks shedding is her full-time job and the brush head makes quick work of her fur (simply using the suction hose only gets some of it, but that's pretty typical). Finally, I don't mind doing stairs anymore as it is so easy to remove the much lighter canister and hose to carry it with you.
Last point: I find the cord length to be sufficient and is actually longer than my previous vacuum. I easily vacuum 700 sq ft from one central plug.
