The improved Milescraft SawGuide allows users to make the precision cuts of a table saw while using hand-held circular or jig saws. The SawGuide turns your circular saw into a guided cutting tool that makes straight, accurate, repeatable cuts in large stock such as plywood and MDF. This helps users improve speed and provide confidence while making accurate, repeatable cuts. The SawGuide is a universal system that works with most saws and creates straight, angle, bevel, and rip cuts. The SawGuide works in both right and left handed circular saw configuration to accommodate all users. By flipping the unit over and attaching a jig saw, you can create perfect circles up to 24 in.     I used this to rip 2x10’s down to a standard width for a deck that had a beam underneath, and the height of the joists was important to me. My only complaint is that the red part of the guide bar is not quickly reversible, to allow it to be on either the left or right side of the saw. Also, the instructions lead you to configure it for the right side, which limits your rips to about 8 inches, and places your saw away from the rip. I took the screws out of the red part and reversed it, to allow the guide bar to be on the left side, which increases the rip width to about 13 inches, and places the saw over the top of the rip, which is more stable for trimming 2x10’s. The pictures show my guide bar on the left.
