I am enjoying this new thermostat. I can tell Alexa to set the temperature when I'm in a different area in the house. I like the way it looks in the wall. This model has an actual glass front, so it won't scratch. It comes with a white back plate to help cover up any bad areas from removal of the old thermostat. I ordered a flat black backplate to make it look a bit more the way I wanted. Lots of settings. You can program this thermostat till your heart is content. I like it has a humidity reading, showing the humidity amount in the house. Easy to change the temperature with two touches. It will go into a sleep like mode just showing temperature and time.. then if you walk up to it, it wakes up and is ready for you. I like the orange line that circles the thermostat screen when the heat is on... And the blue line for when the A/C is on. You can clearly see it from across the room. If you put the app on your smartphone or tablet, you can change settings and temperature that way, if you wish. It's styled very nice and doesn't look cheap. Very nice quality. Installation was nice.. once you install the app, it walks you through installation step by step. I installed it by myself in 30 minutes. I had to open up my furnace and add some wires, which at first made me nervous, but following the instructions on the app( with pictures) I found it very straight forward. Some houses won't require adding wires, mine did because my thermostat wires in the wall were installed when the house was build 25 years ago. If your house is newer, with newer wiring, you will just change out the wall thermostats and that's it. Once I plugged this new thermostat into the wall, it started up and took me through the rest of the set up. I placed the remote sensor, that came with it, in my bedroom, but you can place it anywhere in the house. It keeps the house more evenly heated. I got it on sale, so try and get it on sale, because full price is quite a bit. But I have no regrets.
