When I explained to customer support what I had done they told me they would ship me a new remote free of charge. Now that is customer service above and beyond

On the product images the lid is clearly transparent but the actual unit has a solid black lid which is why I'm giving this a lower score. It's a fairly solid player but it's one of the reasons I bought this so I'm pretty disappointed there.

The actual player itself is decent. It feels pretty cheap, but it's pretty inexpensive so it's hard to knock it much for that. It's very small which I really like, it's not much bigger than a CD case. My goal was to use this as a CD player only by using an HDMI audio extractor to get the audio to a nice DAC via tolink or coaxial and for that purpose it works well. It's not the best CD player though as the display does not say which track you're on, but otherwise it's solid in as a CD player.

Really I would have given this player a 4 or 5 but the false advertising really got me angry. I might return it for the white versions I've seen on �鶹�� as it looks like they do have a transparent lid from the customer photos

HDMI works for a TV or a computer monitor ALONE and doesn't work on the computer.
Built-in speakers are the quality you would expect for a compact device, so they are not great, but it works if you want to listen to a CD quickly.

I bought this to connect to my laptop, but it doesn't recognize the DVD player through the HDMI cable. I found a way to connect only the audio, as I use it to play CDs, by connecting it to my laptop using the AUX jack. After configuring the device as a line-in and turning on the "Listen" function in the device's advanced settings, I was finally able to hear the output of the DVD player through my computer instead of the DVD player's speakers. There were a few issues, though, there is a noticeable static, but by increasing the volume on the DVD player, you can offset a bit. Additionally, the audio starts clipping and distorting if you turn the volume too high on the DVD player specifically.

I wanted to keep it because of its aesthetic, but the audio quality simply doesn't work for me. I'm sure it would be okay if I connected to the TV as intended, but that's not what I am looking for.

I got it in order to play a dvd region 1, my players are region 4 restricted, it played the film pretty well, it is a little noisy when running the disc, I plugged a 4k hdmi onto it, not sure whether it made any difference but the image was really good for a 1995 film in my 4k screen.
