Context : My freezers stopped working I lost about 1000$ worth of food, and had to buy a new one. Then the new one conked out after a few weeks (another 500$ lost) so I buy this for my 2 fridges + 2 freezers thinking never more !!

Not too bad to set up, the boxes and product looked like they were of good quality.

Tweeking the settings took some time as alarms kept going off as soon as temperature or humidity went out of the parameters and the app is not that user friendly. But after 1-2 days, the data stopped downloading: Kept indicating Data transfer error. I contacted the manufacturer and tried the suggested solutions, this knocked things out of whack. One sensor disappeared and the readings seemed transposed : My fridge showing -18C which wasn’t right, one freezer showing 4 C that wasn’t right… finally after 3 weeks It only worked right for 2 days and I sent them back for a refund.

Too bad as I liked the initial idea, if it has lasted more than 2 days might have been a worthwhile product.

I installed this so I could use 3 sensors for a fridge freezer and 2 chest freezers.
I had doubt about range from sensors which are bluetooth sitting inside freezers to this Gateway device.
I sat this in a position about mid way to all three , fridge/freezer is upstairs and both chest freezers are in the basement.

The Gateway had no problem hooking up to the Deco router and all three fridge/freezers .

First think first; you need to use the InkBird Pro app (v3.4.9) to manage the IBS-M1 Wi-Fi Gateway and the InkBird Pro app requires you to create an account (free) with InkBird before you can do anything.
I was unable to add the IBS-M1 Wi-Fi Gateway to the InkBird Pro app despite many attempts using either the Fast Flash and Slow Flash pairing mode. Yes, my iPhone was using the 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi connection as required in the documentation. The InkPro Pro application is in dire need to overhaul as it is next to useless. Despite the claim that the IBS-M1 Wi-Fi Gateway support the IBS-TH2 (temperature+humidity) sensor, the InkBird Pro app dose not support it (no IBS-TH2 in the devices list). Furthermore, after many unsuccessful attempts to add the IBS-M1 into the InkPro Pro, the application locked me out with a cryptic message. I returned the product due to the inability to use the IBS-M1 thought the InkBird Pro app and that you have to grant access to your network to InkBird (cloud account).
