Very impressive boom arm at a shockingly-decent price! Using it with my Rode PodMic, which is a heavy microphone at over 2 pounds. The arm holds this microphone without any issue at all, even at full extension. If you're in the market for a boom arm between $100 and $200, this is a fantastic unit.

What I like:
- Very sturdy and very well built
- Very easy to setup and install
- Can hold heavy microphones (2lb+ Rode PodMic)
- Positioning mechanism is amazing (I move it back and forth dozens of times per day)

Cannot even say enough about this product. I now have 3 of these. They work for light mic's or heavy ones. For the light ones they even add a metal weight that fits very nice close to the end of the boom. The cable management aspect is great also. I have a Wave 3 on one. Also the new XLR light mic on one. I use the weight on those two. The other I attached a camera. The motion of these is second to none. Very smooth and no springs to get caught on or anything like that. It is almost like it is all hydraulic. Or pistons. There is no pulling it down past where you want it and having it lift back up. Have never had them sag down for no reason. The mounting hardware is fantastic. The Ratchet part is great. For those tight spots. Where you might have a desk bar in the way. Do not think you can go wrong with this product.

Picked this up for my Elgato Wave 3 mic. My setup is mainly used for gaming, specifically roleplay servers for RDR2 and GTA. The counter weight works well to allow you to get the mic into the perfect position for gaming. Overall I have zero complaints and have been happy with my purchase.

I picked this arm up when it was on sale, paid about $100 under what it's currently going for, if you aren't in need of this stand right now it may be worth waiting to see if it goes on sale at some point. Overall though it's a quality stand, made with some solid metal and plastic parts... easy to recommend especially if you have an Elgato Wave 3 and the other accessories for that mic (shock mount and pop filter etc).

What more can I say? If you're spending this kind of money for a mic arm, you probably already know what you want, and this will live up to what you're expecting for the price. Premium feeling, tension is great (smacked me in the face nice and hard when I took the mic off), cable management is amazing. The only gripe I have is that I'd love if it was slightly longer, and also, I often want it to go lower and further out, but due to the design, it doesn't quite articulate the way I'd like all the time, but I'm moving it around quite often as I swing it over to to play my keyboard, and back to my normal sitting position at my studio desk, but it's a very minor gripe as I can make it work, it's just a bit awkward. Overall, it's 100x better than having floor mic stands crowding up my already small room, and I love that I can just tuck my mic away into the corner now when not in use. With some cable management parts, you'll barely notice you mic is there. Yes, it is quite pricey, but put the extra money down, skip the Chinese knockoffs and treat yourself to this quality mic arm, you won't regret it.

The extension bar to raise it suits my setup perfectly allowing it to raise over the tablet I have it mounted behind.
