SFM-27 Electronic Buzzer Beep Continuous Beep for Arduino
This buzzer is a kind of electronic buzzer with integrated structure. It uses DC voltage to supply power.
It is widely used in computers, printers, copiers, alarms, electronic toys, automotive electronic equipment, telephones, timers and other electronic products as sound devices.
Classification of buzzers Buzzers are mainly divided into two types: piezoelectric buzzer and electromagnetic buzzer.
Package included:
- 5 X SFM-27 Piezoelectric buzzer active alarm sounder
The structure principle of the buzzer
- 1. Piezoelectric buzzer
The piezoelectric buzzer is mainly composed of a multivibrator, a piezoelectric buzzer, an impedance matcher, a resonance box, and a shell. Some piezoelectric buzzers are also equipped with light-emitting diodes.
The multivibrator is composed of transistors or integrated circuits. When the power is turned on (1.5~15V DC working voltage), the multivibrator starts to vibrate and outputs 1.5~2.5kHZ audio signals, and the impedance matcher drives the piezoelectric buzzer to sound.
The piezoelectric buzzer is made of lead zirconate titanate or lead magnesium niobate piezoelectric ceramic material. Silver electrodes are plated on both sides of the ceramic sheet, and after polarization and aging treatment, they are then glued together with the brass sheet or the stainless steel sheet.
- 2. Electromagnetic buzzer
The electromagnetic buzzer is composed of oscillator, electromagnetic coil, magnet, vibrating diaphragm and shell. After the power is turned on, the audio signal current generated by the oscillator passes through the electromagnetic coil, causing the electromagnetic coil to generate a magnetic field. The vibrating diaphragm periodically vibrates and produces sound under the interaction of the electromagnetic coil and the magnet.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 17, 2024Verified Purchasei use these as alert buttons for my custom products. High quality alarm would definitely recommend them.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 16, 2024Verified PurchaseGreat product in good price no issue

- Reviewed in Canada on July 13, 2023This is your typical 12V Piezo Buzzer/Siren good for alarm panels, doorbells or other audio notification applications. They work with voltage from 3V-24V and are loud. You get 5 sirens in the package for $12 so $2.40 each which is a good deal. I would order these again
- Reviewed in Canada on July 12, 2023This 5 pack of piezo buzzers from Stemedu are designed for Arduino projects. Stemedu claims a 95db output but did not provide any additional information. To my ears, they do sound fairly loud but definitely not as loud as the smoke detector in my house. The voltage range is DC 3 to 24 V so perhaps it will sound louder if I had used a higher voltage. The current price of $12 CAD for 5 means each are about $2.40.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 3, 2025Verified PurchaseToo big for a drone, and not loud enough at 5V to be heard from 25 feet.
I returned the item, and will look for a smaller buzzer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy
These are decent low voltage buzzer, I use it at 12V.
I bought another type of low voltage DC buzzers from 鶹 that I use for alarm notification when certain temperature is reached. but wanted a different sound for different temperature.
Would recommend this

Verified PurchaseSarebbe da 5 stelle se la descrizione fosse coerente con il prodotto: ottimo cicalino continuo, MA NON È UNA SIRENA.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but falls slightly short of specs.
I've used piezo crystal buzzers before on simple projects, and at low voltages they tend to be very quiet. I thought I'd give these a try to see how loud they are at lower voltages.
This buzzer just needs a voltage, no control is required. This means it's simple to use, but only outputs a single tone.
Firstly, at 12v, this is pretty loud. Not sure if it's 95db, but it's uncomfortable. It also does operate at 3v but noticeably quieter, yet still louder than other piezo buzzers. There is a caveat to this however. The buzzer doesn't start to operate until about 4.8v is applied (according to my benchtop power supply). Once sounding you can drop the voltage to 3v with no problems and it keeps going.
As for power consumption, it's around 4ma per 3v. So ~4mah @ 3v, ~8mah @ 6v, ~17mah @ 12v (again according to my benchtop power supply).
If it operated properly at 3v this would be 5*, but I have to drop a star because it won't start buzzing @ 3v.
