They do seem to be microwave proof . However two more plates chipped and I'm careful. Maybe I got a defective set but I have had enough. I hate chipped plates. Glass recycling. Done with them.
Two plates out of four were defective. One ugly black rim on the bottom that I couldn't get off and one with writing inside that I couldn't wash off.

Otherwise, decent plates for the cost especially if you split your days between home and office.
I would suggest putting info on the other side that the plates are microwave and freezer proof.

I tried warming sandwich in my microwave seems ok .
