For our 2015 Ford Escape, this was the perfect solution. We love our new car, except for the built-in navigation. It is very cumbersome and slow, so we default to the Google Maps app on our phones. To have a clear view of the phone while driving it needs to be up on the dash somewhere. Well, this holder provides the perfect spot when attached to the windshield just above the console. Put a magnet on the back of your phone and the phone attaches to the holder but still rests on the dash. There is no chance of it slipping off, even on bumpy roads. It attaches to the window just like the picture shows. Easily done, and it looks great. It is also still low profile enough that it doesn't interfere with visibility. Love it!

The holder itself is good. The item is easy to install and holds nicely. I did find it is a little sticky when trying to adjust height level. One thing I find very annoying is the transparent adhesive you are to place on phone or phone case (as stated in the instructions).
I thought of not using this and went against my own judgment and placed the transparent film on the case before applying the magent.
I installed it on the case and made sure it was adhered to the case before installing the magnet.
That all went fine until about the forth or fifth time removing it from the holder. The magnet came off the case and will no longer stick. You cannot remove the film as it removes the adhesive from the magnet itself.
So needless to say the magnet will no longer stick on the phone case, and it is ruined because of the transparent film you "need to apply first. 🤔
