Banner Epoxy Resin

Let your imagination come to life

UV Resistant Epoxy Resin

UV Resistant

Epoxy resin can sometimes lose its clarity really fast and turn yellow... Our epoxy resin products contains UV Inhibitors which helps to resist yellowing.

Deep Pour Resin

Extremely Resistant in Many Ways

Being one of the first company to offer epoxy resin used for artistic applications, we had many years of expertise to develop the strongest products for our fellow artists. We took action to develop an extremely resistant epoxy resin which is scratch-resistant, impact-resistant, water-resistant and heat-resistant.

Deep Pour Resin

Safe - Food Grade

Our products are Made in Canada and USA. We only use the finest raw materials to offer the best quality to our customers. This means you can enjoy a product which is food safe once fully cured.

Crystal Clear Image

Clear - Shiny - Simply Amazing

Having a clear, hard and shiny end project result is always desired when working with epoxy resin and that's what you can expect with our epoxy resin products!

Deep Pour Resin

River Table

Our Deep Pour & Casting resin is the perfect product for your river table project. Mix our epoxy resin with any color to create your dream table!

Casting Resin

Casting

Being low-viscosity, the resin is able to penetrate and fill even the smallest gaps and cavities. Thus, it makes the perfect epoxy resin to create casting projects where you want to preserve objects with the clearest result possible.

Art Resin

Deep Pour & Art

Any deep pour or art project that you think of can be achieved with our Deep Pour & Casting epoxy resin. It cures to a crystal clear appearance or can be tinted with our powdered or paste pigment colorants.

Deep Pour Resin

Bubble-Free Epoxy Resin

Our scientists have developed an epoxy resin made especially for deeper pours where you can expect your project to be bubble-free and clearer.

Quick & Easy Instructions

Deep Pour Instruction

Measure

Into a mixing cup, pour twice the amount of resin (A) for each measurement of hardener (B) (2:1 ratio). Ex.: 500ml of resin (A) with 250ml of hardener (B).

If you measure by weight (g), use mixing ratio 100A:45B. Ex.: 300g (A) with 135g (B)

Deep Pour Instruction

Mix

Stir both parts together for 4-5 minutes. Make sure to scrap the sides while stirring. Once done, you have up to 6 hours of working time.

Deep Pour Instruction

Pour

Make sure that your project is leveled and pour the resin on it. DO NOT scrape the resin out of the container, just dump it and leave the remaining material in the container.

Tip: 15 minutes after pouring, you can quickly pass a blow torch a few inches over the resin to pop all the extra air bubbles.

Deep Pour Instruction

Wait

Your project will be tack-free after 2 days and cured in 3 days. This curing time helps to release as many air bubbles as possible, and allows for deeper pours.

If you need to do an additional pour, you can do do so between 18 to 28 hours after the last pour. If you wait longer than that, you will need to sand your project with some 180 or 220 grit sandpaper.

I have tried/used multiple brands and the one is my favorite! I get less bubbles and clear results. I live in Canada were it gets really cold so if you have any issues just give the resin a warm bath before starting. Be patient and mix slowly. You can't rush resin so take your time to mix make sure to read the instructions and always wear your PPE's. From a fellow Resinator.

I researched several deep pour epoxy brands for making my furniture art/epoxy tables and other art, and I'm very happy with Magic Resin's 2" Deep Pour. My tips are: make sure you mix very well. A paddle mixer on your drill is the way to go (3 mins), then use a stick for an extra 2 mins or so and scrape the sides of your pouring container. Make sure you use the correct ratio of 2:1 no matter how much or how little you are batching up. Use a scale set to Fluid OZ and a guide fill stick with measured lines can be a big help (see picture). Use the epoxy calculator and convert liters to fluid ounces or quarts depending on the size of your pour. Use a level to make sure your mold is level. And clamp down your wood because wood floats! The open time is great on this, you literally have several hours to blend in and add in elements. I did a 2.3 inch height in 3 pours but it easily could have been 2 or probably even 1 pour. (I did it this way to have layers of different colors, etc , but make sure to apply the next pour while its still sticky to the touch (12 to 18 hours) or sand it if hard after 48 hours). The clear pours were SUPER CLEAR. Magic Resin came out of my melamine mold lined with Tuck tape and some paste wax. It came right out. I'm going to give the epoxy some credit as well because it cured on time and even in the winter; but make sure you keep the temp in your room up to spec. I kept the temp between 70 and 73 degrees especially for the 1st 2 nights. Don't forget to pre-seal your live edge wood's edges with a primer coat of epoxy that dries for a few hours, to cut down on bubbles. Speaking of bubbles.. There were VERY FEW with this mixture. Use a quick torch but don't overdo it, it will release a LOT of bubbles on its own! Hope some of this helps, but starting with this epoxy goes a long way to having the right material to begin with!! Kudos.

鶹 Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I'm used to resin that has a little more body or thickness, making it less messy and easier to pour. This is pretty soupy and doesn't really hold patterns and ribbons of color or mica in place. I tried but there is so much fluidity the mix just becomes blurry or settles. It is better used for deep pours into stable material or firm molds, or if using a monotone mix. I admit, I have not worked with this resin or thin resins that are used for up to 2" depth.

This has a very long working time so if you are working a large area or a big job, that's great. But, I think even some of those jobs would be happier with a little more body. The self leveling is fine, but an little doming would be helpful. This will run very thin. Definitely for the experienced resin worker and I'd say not a craft or art product, unless you have room to set your projects aside safely to set up for 3 to 4 days. 24 hour set up time, is enough for me as I just don't have the work shop space for this and I do a lot of projects all the time. Thin coatings do set up over night, but can't be stacked safely for 3 or 4 days. Any depth to the pour will need to be stable and level must be maintained.

Would be good for casting, firm molds, pressure pot? Experienced person. Shadow boxes, with sea shells and things perhaps.

At the time of this review, the resin one gallon container has a slightly more yellow tone when compared to the hardener in the 1/2 gallon container. There is not enough difference to clearly photograph, but for some projects this may indicate that yellowing over time could be an issue if you are not adding pigments of some kind.

The mixing for me isn't that easy either, since I work smaller and eye balling 1:1 would be easier than weighing. Again, more experience would pay off here.

Clarity and set up. It's okay, but if you want a clear result in a plain resin with no tint or mica, that you can see through then you'll want to be cautious about bubbles and surface flaws, and check often. Again, it's not effortless. If you are working with counter tops and one pigment or have your methods, it may work well for you using your expertise. For raw edge and one pigment, no swirls or designs, then it will work for that.

When mixed properly in proper proportions or pretty close, the product does set up strong with no tack.

I messed up a lot. It's so runny for so long that I ended up making messes for every little thing I tried to accomplish. In the end I was able to make a couple of earring stand bases that I like. They are small but took 4 days or more to make and one isn't finished yet. I could have read the details more carefully before ordering, that is on me. I read so many ads that I didn't realize that this had a 6 hour working time and 24 hour set up time and 4 day cure time. My room temp is Python approved, around 78-80 degrees, in the cooler zones. I open doors for company.

This is a good value, it's competitively priced at just under 120 including shipping.

I have completed four live edge cutting boards using this resin. Follow the simple instructions (mix very well and let it cure in a room that's at least in the mid 70's). Glass clear results!
